Fae Amiro Awarded Crake Doctoral Fellowship in Classics

Fae Amiro, PhD candidate in Classics at McMaster University, is the recipient of the Crake Doctoral Fellowship in Classics at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick. This fellowship is awarded annually to a graduate student who is expected to finish their doctorate in Classics during the year of tenure. The holder is asked to teach the equivalent of six credits and give a public lecture.

Fae Amiro is in the process of completing her doctoral thesis entitled, “The Portraits of the Empress Sabina and their Significance.” Her research interests focus on Roman portraiture, Greek and Roman sculpture, and numismatics. Fae currently holds a SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship.
